Purchasing from Shop by Motory Terms & Conditions
The terms and conditions that apply to all customers who want to purchase cars from Shop by Motory are as follows:
Your Order
- Your confirmed request on the Website/App contains your purchase details, which include car specifications, prices, and other services associated with the car you purchased
- If you submit your request, we will send you an email
- While we do our best to ensure that all prices on our Website/App are correct, errors can occur. If we discover an error in the price of the vehicle or services you have purchased, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your request at the correct price or canceling it. If we are unable to contact you, your request will be considered as canceled.
- If you cancel your request and have already paid, you will receive a full refund
- You can check the status of your application by contacting us by phone or WhatsApp (contact us)
Payment Methods
- You can reserve a car by paying the reservation fee (if applicable) on the website/app
- Our payment methods include Mada, Visa, Mastercard, and bank transfer
- When placing a request on the website/app, we do not accept any of the following payment methods: personal checks or cash
Prices
- The selling price of the offered cars (inclusive/exclusive of VAT) is presented for each car

Discounts and Special Offers
- We may from time to time offer discounts and special offers; however, please keep in mind that any discounts we offer become unavailable to the application at the same time as any other one is available (for example, if we have two offers at the same time, you can apply only one of them, not both)

- Marketing campaigns and discounts apply only to individuals and do not apply to companies

Your Car Matters
- Before preparing the car for sale, our used cars have been subjected to more than 100 points of inspection to ensure the mechanical, external, and internal condition of the chassis, engine, transmission, suspension system, air conditioning system, brake systems, and electrical systems
- Used cars offered to us may have been used as a rental vehicle, owned by multiple owners, or shipped from another country
- Regardless, we are committed to doing our best in inspection and review to ensure that the sold car is in the best technical condition and highest quality levels before delivering it to the customer; however, there may be some minor details or other observations that do not appear in the photos or reports because they do not affect the condition and overall quality of the car
- There may also be some consumable parts or parts that have been used or partially used, such as brakes, tires, tools, filters, and so on, which do not need to be replaced or changed when selling the car to the customer.
- Shop by Motory provides a variety of third-party services, such as extended warranty service, roadside assistance, and others, and your direct connection will be with the third party (provider or service provider) throughout the contract period.
- You can choose any of the additional services, such as purchasing an extended warranty or roadside assistance By contacting "Shop by Motory" customer service
- "Shop by Motory" does not provide any manufacturer warranty for used cars, but it does provide a standard factory warranty for new cars.
- The mileage or odometer on a used car may differ slightly from the number stated on the website/application. This could have occurred while transporting the car to the refurbishment facilities, conducting a road test prior to customer delivery, or during the car's delivery to you
- If a problem is detected in the quality or condition of your car before delivery or pickup, and we are unable to resolve the issue or it is not practically feasible to do so (for example, if the repair is excessively expensive or requires unavailable spare parts or due to unforeseen circumstances), "Shop by Motory" may cancel your order after communicating with you for clarification. This can be done at any time before the car is delivered or picked up. In such a case, you have the option to either receive a full refund of all payments made by you (including any amount paid for car shipping to you) or inform us of your preference to choose another car from our website/application, with the financial settlement adjusted accordingly.
Cancellations and Refunds
We may cancel your request in any of the following cases:
- We have tried all available ways to reach or contact you but have not received any response, so we will consider your request canceled. The "Reservation fee” (if applicable) will be refunded to your e-payment card
- We have confirmed the car reservation with you and made every effort to reach or contact you, but if you do not respond, we will consider your request canceled
- "Shop by Motory" has the right to cancel your request at any time before the car is received or delivered. In this case, we will refund all car payments made.
It is possible to cancel your order in the following cases:
- If we discover a pricing error in the car or services you have requested, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to reconfirm your request at the correct price or cancel it. We will be required to refund your entire payment.
- You can cancel your request with us at any time before the car is delivered or picked up by contacting "Shop by Motory" customer service or our WhatsApp chat (contact us)
Delivery and Collection
If you choose to have your car delivered to your place:
- We deliver to the nearest location to you within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
- Your car will be delivered on the date indicated in your request document or waybill document unless we tell you otherwise
- During the purchase process, the delivery fee will be calculated
- Your car will only be delivered to the address specified in your request
- When you receive the car, you must show the truck driver your Saudi Arabian driver's license, national ID card, or residence card if you are a resident or a foreigner to verify your identity and address
- If you need to change the delivery address, you have to contact "Shop by Motory" customer service
- Upon delivery, the authenticity of the car must be confirmed to the delivery employee or truck driver, and you must sign our delivery receipt to confirm that you have received the car in the condition and specifications stated in your request
- You can pick up your chosen car from the showroom
- Only you are authorized to pick up the car, and no one else may do so unless they present it to a legitimate authority
Purchase it used with trust
- Your used car is guaranteed by "Shop by Motory," and you have 5 days or 100 kilometers (whichever comes first)to return it if there is a defect, technical malfunction, or the presence of one of the damages that affect the condition of the car but are not mentioned in the inspection
- "Shop by Motory" offers a full refund guarantee within 5 days of receiving your car for the reasons stated above. If the vehicle has been modified, damaged, or involved in an accident since we delivered it to you, or if the pre-specified time duration or distance has been exceeded, we will not accept it back. There is no fee for returning the vehicle, and any additional funds paid for the car will be refunded
- If it is required to return the sold car according to the terms, there will be no fees for the car's return, and all the pre-paid amounts will be refunded
- The car refund guarantee applies only to cars owned by Abdul Latif Jameel Technology Co. Ltd. and displayed on "Shop by Motory". This policy does not cover cars owned by others and displayed on our websites, whether for companies or individuals, if any.
Complaints & Suggestions
If you have a complaint or suggestions regarding "Shop by Motory," please contact us via phone or WhatsApp, and we will respond within 48 hours (contact us)
Uncontrollable Happenings
- We are not in breach of our obligations regarding your request, these terms, or contract, and we have no liability to you if we are unable to perform any obligation due to an event or circumstance beyond our limited control (for example, fire, flood, strikes, riots, diseases and epidemics, accidents, disruption of supply of facilities or networks and systems, civil unrest, acts of terrorism or war, equipment failure, bad weather, third-party acts or omissions),(auxiliary service providers), road traffic problems)
- If an unexpected event affects our obligations, we will notify you as soon as possible.
- Our time to perform the affected obligations is extended for as long as the event beyond our control lasts
- We will reschedule any affected delivery and pick-up dates after the end of the event beyond our control
General Terms & Conditions
- Nothing in these terms limits or restricts our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, nor does it restrict or restrict your legal rights. The Ministry of Commerce can provide you with more information about your legal rights
- The law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia governs these terms and contracts. This means that any matter or dispute arising out of or related to these terms and the contract (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by Saudi Arabian law. You can file a lawsuit in Saudi Arabian courts.
Return Policy
Below you can find the terms and procedures for returning used cars.
Return Policy for a Used Car
Abdul Latif Jameel Technology Co. Ltd. (Shop By Motory) customers have the right to return a used car within 5 days of receipt or 100 kilometers (whichever comes first) in one of the following circumstances:
- The existence of damage to the car's chassis
- The airbag had previously been damaged
- The existence of a defect or technical flaw in one of the following components:
- Engine
- Transmission
- Air conditioner system
- Engine cooling system
- Vehicle Electronics & Electrical Systems
- ABS system
- Suspension system
- The customer does not have the right to return the car if it has been modified, damaged, or an accident has happened, or if its condition has changed during the customer's ownership of the car, or if it has exceeded the duration or miles (whichever is closer) as mentioned in the return policy.
Car Returning Procedure
- The customer will contact Abdul Latif Jameel Technology Co. Ltd. (Shop By Motory) customer service and register a complaint or return request within the time frame and distance specified in the return policy.
- Within 24 to 72 hours of making the request, the Shop By Motory team will direct the customer to the nearest authorized inspection center
- The car will be received by one of our authorized maintenance facilities for a technical inspection
- In the case of a technical issue that falls under the previously specified criteria for returning the car
- The customer will be contacted immediately and informed that his request to return the car has been accepted
- The procedure for returning and refunding will be completed
- If a minor technical issue has been addressed (other than situations resulting in the car's return), the following will be done:
- Notifying the customer about the car's condition and the resolved technical problem
- The car will be delivered to the customer with the repair period excluded from the 7-day trial term to preserve the customer's right to return the car if one of the reasons for return is met
- In the absence of a malfunction or technical problem, the following is performed:
- Notifying the customer of the result of the technical inspection on the condition of the car, which revealed that there is no defect in it
- The car will be delivered to the customer if one of our authorized maintenance facilities confirms that there is no defect or malfunction in one of the "mentioned in the return policy" conditions.
Disclaimer
This report is based on the approximate condition of the car at the time of the inspection as indicated in the technical inspection report.
- This report does not mean in any way that the vehicle’s condition conforms to 100% of what was stated in the inspection report, all reports regarding this car were written according to apparent evaluation and inspection done by trained and specialized technicians
- However, if there are substantial differences "as indicated in the return policy" between the actual condition of the car and what is mentioned in the inspection report, the return policy terms and conditions must apply in order to protect customers' rights.
- The parts described and referred to in the report were only inspected and tested during the technical inspection.
- The condition of parts that are not visible or examined is not considered in the report.
- The inspection method is based on the car's mileage reading in kilometers at the time of inspection and is not responsible for checking its accuracy.
- -This does not imply that Abdul Latif Jameel Technology Limited (Shop By Motory) is responsible in any way as a result of the use of this report, as the inspection report provides an approximation of the vehicle's condition at the time of the technical inspection.
- The technical report is only valid for 15 days.
Terms and conditions of Shop By Motory Offers
- Shop offers are exclusive to individuals
- The car reservation will be canceled if it's listed by non-individual customers
- The offer applies to cash purchases only
- The reservation and purchase must be made within 24 hours only, and after the expiry of this period, the car reservation will be canceled
- Customers will not receive their cars until completing the following:
- Plate Issuance
- Issuance of the vehicle license for new cars (Istimara)
- Transfer of ownership of used cars
- Prices and offers do not include insurance fees
- The customer is not entitled to obtain more than one car from the offers
- These offers are available for individual buyers only and not for showrooms (dealers) and other companies
- Employees associated with Abdul Latif Jameel Technology Ltd Co. cannot obtain cars from the advertised offers
- These offers are valid in Saudi Arabia only
- The company is entitled to announce the buyers’ names of the Impossible Offer
- 50 | 50 Offers from Shop: An additional 8% will be added to the advertised car price, so you can get the offer without a profit margin
